The story

A road, a stone seat, and the same year.

A man wakes face down in the mud of a road with the rain already going. No name. No yesterday. He takes his name from the bird on the fence post: Rook. Three hundred miles east, at the top of two hundred steps cut into rock, a god sits on a stone seat and watches a world he is not allowed to touch. He sees everything. He can reach nothing.

Between them lies a single year. The same spring, the same rain in the same hedge, the same woman dying in the same house, and one man walking through it who remembers every turn. Two voices. Two stories that should not be able to touch. One year that refuses to end.

Veil of Aeons is a literary dark fantasy novel in 40 short chapters, across four parts. A book about grief, about the price of eternity, and about what a person does with a year that will not let go.

Behind the book

How it was made

Written with AI in the loop, and directed start to finish by me: the structure, the voices, every line of dialogue, every cut. Three full revision passes, fifteen beta reads, forty chapters signed off one by one before print. New method, same bar.
